Wedding Decoration Ideas

A beautiful idea can make a world of difference to a wedding. An idea has the ability to add a dream-like quality to a wedding if required, it adds style to a wedding and makes it look different.

A wedding is a couple’s big day so every effort should be made to make it the most memorable time of their lives. There can be an idea for each aspect of the wedding starting from the theme to what the bride or groom want to wear or how they want the feel of their wedding to be.

Once the theme of a wedding is decided, everything can be color coordinated with the theme. Necklaces, glow lights, and bracelets can be used to decorate the centerpieces. There are many other ways to decorate the centerpieces. Centerpieces can be made of anything, though bowls of flowers and floating candles are very popular right now. Floating fruit candles would give the whole atmosphere a feeling of spring. Butterfly shaped floating candles can be made to swim in water and the sheer beauty of the sight can be enjoyed. Floating candlesticks can be used to give the look of a precious goblet of light.

Apart from the centerpiece ideas, some unique ideas can be used to change the mood of the wedding. Some popular ideas for weddings include: asking the guests to share a story or a moment about the couple which would either make people laugh or brush away tears, or, to create a true fairy tale effect, real butterflies or doves can be released once the couple steps outside the wedding venue. A piece of history or an age-old tradition can be incorporated in the wedding bouquet. For example, orange blossoms, which are the most traditional flowers, can be included in the bridal bouquet.

It is true that a beautiful idea can change lives and a wedding is probably one of the biggest occasions in anybody’s life. Thinking of the right ideas can certainly make the wedding truly memorable.

The Harder You Borrow the Quicker You Fall

Sometimes the harder you try to stay out of debt, the harder it is especially in today’s consumer driven society and increasing numbers of people struggle to control their finances. It seems more common lately that the cause of financial problems is not always your own fault. You may be simply victim of circumstances which you have little or no control. These issues could be due to unemployment or medical debt, to name a couple.

It is, in fact just a matter of time before a person starts to experience serious debt problems as monthly bills add up but income is scarce. But, many of us are under a lot of pressure to keep up our image as a wealthy person as it is thought to be by so many that any financial trouble is an indicator of failure or that they are just not capable money handlers.

The usual fall back in these situations is the credit card as it is easy to draw cash on them but it won’t take long for them to reach their limit. If the account is being paid regularly, the financial institutions are happy and will even supply further credit cards as they know the person is a good regular payer.

By this stage it is only a short matter of time before everything falls to pieces as the financial problems just escalate. More debts, like personal loans are not an option, and at this point are rarely available even if that was a viable option, which at this point it is not.

Although bankruptcy is an option in these circumstances, recent laws have made it more difficult to file for bankruptcy in an effort to stop people using it as a way of ridding debts. The best move forward for every reason is to consolidate your debts by arranging a debt consolidation loan, which is completely different to a personal loan.

What happens is that you turn your financial obligations over to a debt consolidation company, and they pay your debts for you via a debt consolidation loan. With this type of arrangement no cash is supplied to you as with a personal loan say, but the debts are consolidated with the loan directly by the debt consolidation company who you will pay regularly each month.

What makes this system work is the fact that your monthly financial responsibility will be reduced considerably. For example, your current debt might be costing you over three thousand dollars per month but once the debt consolidation loan has been arranged this could be reduced to under two thousand leaving you a little breathing space.

This will also provide an opportunity of clearing your credit rating without going bankrupt so thereby maintaining your public dignity.

The Inaccurate View of Science

If I have one purpose in life, it is to enlighten those around me. All too often, if one has a social and political awareness, we are going to hear such statements as, “Science has proved this,” or “Science has proved that,” and it will be implied in a way that it is absolute. So often have I heard this statement, that I feel it is necessary to write upon it.

Science may best be defined as a method of investigation, as well as the results of that investigation. It allows scientists, or at least followers of this method, to conduct experiments and tests. Once the tests are concluded, other scientists may conduct the same experiment to receive identical or similar results. This is all simple, though, and certainly nothing new to anyone well versed in the philosophy of science.

Society can be defined as the attitudes held in the minds of those who are members of such a society. Reformers and revolutionaries alike are intrinsic in developing good societies, as they are the ones to form, mold, or alter the attitudes of others. In the end, though, of course, only the person can change themselves, in that they are open minded and willing to understand new things. Writers and artists can only help them in their journey to understanding. By creating awareness about certain social and economical issues, by strife that occurs between different classes, attitudes are molded and formed. For example, if writers and poets focus much of their art on an issue like police brutality, it may instill people with the attitude that police officers and representatives of the law have no authority to be cruel or malicious — some of the population may even fight back, defending themselves and their rights. In this way, one flick of the pen can incite a thousand protests. By molding the attitude of the public, reformers and revolutionaries take on a great responsibility. Yet it is here that we discover that the attitude of a society is what makes up its foundation. Sometimes, reformers and revolutionaries focus their energy solely on infusing the attitude into a populace that there is nothing wrong in considering new ideas, that it is no sin to rebuke ignorance of knowledge, to — in general — have an open mind on all matters. For example, if Germany’s population had a positive attitude about tolerance and acceptance, they would have never allowed Hitler’s policies to come into practice. In the United States, there was a strong anti-war attitude among citizens, and 1,500 protestors rioted in San Francisco at George Bush’s war.

Most importantly, for a society to flourish, in that it contributes to the development of philosophical, scientific, and literary thought — through writing books, conducting experiments, and creating inventions — for a society to prosper, it must have well-reasoned attitudes towards the confronting political, economical, and social issues. In our society, the belief that science is an absolute, single figurehead remains as a sign that our attitude towards science is rather weak. It is true, though, that not everyone will have such an attitude. The public, though, does have such an attitude. Science is not one set ideology. It is a mass of what often seems to be quarreling, bickering, almost beaurocratic-like scientists, arguing over the validity of experiments, tests, and criticizing almost every point. For what evidence you can get to support one theory, there will be five scientists supporting opposite theories. At least, with new theories attempting to explain new fields of understanding, this is the case. There is the case of what I will call orthodox science, on questions such as the movement of the planets in the solar system or the roundness of the Earth. When a person states that science has proved something, it is an empty, hollow statement. Science itself proves nothing, as it is a method, and the community that follows this method. If someone wants to offer evidence that something is true, then show the experiment or the data supporting it. “This person conducted this experiment on this date, and found these results,” — this statement, however, is specific. Unlike the vague “science proves it,” this statement can actually be criticized.

The importance of having this attitude towards science is great. What we know as truth, especially in the scientific community, is always changing and improving, with new experiments confirming our hypothesis and other ones disproving what we believed to be ancient wisdom for so long. It is impractical to rely on “science” as a single body of perfect knowledge, immune to learning and the passage of time. But it is more than just knowing that science is one body, but it is understanding it and having that attitude. It is very possible to simply know that science always changes, but it is entirely different thing to have the open mind that what scientists are predicting is fallible, that our understanding of atoms and electrons could be entirely false, that our knowledge on fusion and fission are actually upside down from the actual true understanding — and that, even in a thousand years, our knowledge in these areas will still be subject to new experiments and discoveries. The inaccurate view of science is that it is a single, immutable body of truth. The accurate view of science is that it is a method of investigation and the community that adheres to this method, as well as an ever-changing collection of theories and evidence to support these theories.

Do The Hardest Thing First And The Rest Will Be Easy

Have you ever noticed that in life we almost always choose the easy road, the path of least resistance when it comes to challenges in our way?

I remember as a kid working in a warehouse, the foreman came up to me when I was complaining about the tough job I had ahead of me at the end of my shift, and said…

“You want a secret that will help you not have to deal with that task at the end of the day?”

I said “Sure”, hoping he was about ready to give me a new assignment.

“Do the hardest thing first, and the rest will be easy” he replied.

I must have looked at him with an expression similar to a confused puppy learning a new trick, when he continued with…

“It’s like this… when it’s all said and done, you know you have to finish the job right?”

My head nodded in sad agreement.

” Well, since you have to do it anyway, why not just do it now, right away and get it over with? That way, you get to handle it when you have the most energy, as well as put it out of your head so you don’t have to worry about it any longer?

That way for the rest of the shift, you can focus on all the easier tasks ahead of you and enjoy the time you’re here.”

Now I know this is not some great” Aristotle” wisdom, but the message has stayed with me ever since and has helped me in ever possible function of my adult life. So much so, that I am sharing it here with you now.

Even when it comes to paying our taxes or the day-to-day “Drama” that may occur, the same thing applies…deal with it then and there.

That way, it’s off your plate so to speak so you can move on to something more pleasant and don’t have to carry it around with you, or worry about it any longer.

Now, like every month I challenge you, as well as a little secret I learned.

Want to know how to fix this? Do you want a sure fire way to help end procrastination in your life?

Do this-

Take a moment, and write down three things, no matter how large or small that you have been putting off.

Then starting tomorrow (with Commitment) Do them! No questions asked, no excuses, just do those three things.

Then, once complete, write down three more things, and do them the next day, repeat, etc…

What you will find is a renewed feeling of accomplishment. It gives us a feeling that we took action and eliminates what ever those things we had at the back of our minds.

It may sound obvious, but how many of you will do this?

Will you?

The Benefits Of Iodine

Initially discovered as a new element in 1811 by Barnard Courtois, knowledge of this substance has come to include the host of benefits it brings to the body as an essential nutrient. For many years, getting enough iodine in the diet naturally was difficult in many geographic regions and remains so for an unfortunately high percentage of the world’s population in the developing nations. With the introduction of iodized salt, meeting the daily iodine requirement became nearly effortless and inexpensive in the industrialized nations. In these nations, iodine deficiency is now rare. As developing nations are able to make the shift to iodized salt, their rates of iodine deficiency and the diseases associated with it have also begun to decrease.

One of the main ways that iodine affects the body and health is through its interactions with the thyroid gland. Approximately 80% of the iodine found in the body is located in the thyroid. With the help of iodine, the thyroid is able to produce its hormones: thyroxine and triodothyronine. These hormones play a major part in regulating processes relating to growth and development of the body and influence the maturation of the reproductive system.

Because of its influence on the thyroid’s activities, iodine therefore plays a great role in the basic metabolism processes and levels in the body. It helps in overseeing that the body efficiently burns calories thus preventing excess calories from being stored as excess fats. It has a role in maintaining the energy level of the body and in helping the skin, teeth, nails and hair to he strong and healthy. Iodine also plays a big role in destroying toxins in the body and also helps the system in utilizing both the mineral calcium and silicone.

A deficiency in iodine can negatively affect the health and functioning of the body and mind in many ways some of which are more serious than others. The symptoms of iodine deficiency that affect the mind range from feelings of frustration and anxiety to depression to mental retardation stemming from an IQ point decrease of up to 15 points to the severe mental retardation relating to such diseases as cretinism which includes serious physical malformations. According to the World Health Organization, iodine deficiency is among the leading causes of mental retardation worldwide. Physical symptoms of iodine deficiency can include dry, scaly skin, fatigue, constipation, unusual weight gain, impaired thyroid operation, goiters, decreased fertility, increased rate of stillbirth, and growth abnormalities ranging in severity.

It is truly shameful that people suffer such horrific affects from a deficiency that could be resolved with mere pennies per person. Iodized salt is so inexpensive and if could be spread throughout the poverty centers of the developing nations, the needless suffering of millions could be alleviated. Infants need to have 40 micrograms to 50 micrograms per day if iodine, children from 1 to 3 years of age need 70 micrograms daily, ages 4 to 6 require 90 micrograms per day, ages 7 to 10 need 120 micrograms daily, and children aver 11 should have 150 micrograms per day. In turn, pregnant women need more iodine intake than the normal adult. A whooping 175 micrograms of iodine daily is needed daily for these women and breastfeeding women should have 200 micrograms daily. A mere quarter of a teaspoon of iodized salt contains 95 micrograms of iodine. So for a healthy mind and body, be sure to consume the required daily dose of iodine.

Powerful Words

We have the power to achieve, create and change circumstances in our lives. We are born powerful. Our Creator did not leave us helpless, poor and weak. He gave us all the tools to not only survive but fulfill our destiny to the utmost. We are all born for a purpose. It does not matter where we came from or the circumstances of our birth, youth or present lifestyle.

Let us consider these Words:

“The Lord will perfect that which concerns me: your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; forsake not the works of your own hands.” (Isaiah 138:8)

“I will praise you; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are thy works.. My substance was not hid from you, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes did see my substance, yet being imperfect; and in your book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.(Psalm 139:14-16)

“Thus says the Lord, thy Redeemer; the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way that you should go.” (Isaiah 48:17)

These are just a few Words of Promise that you can stand on and act upon. The Bible is filled with them. Not only is God’s Word better than the thoughts and words of great thinking and creative genius, it transforms people! Why? Because they penetrate the heart! They don’t merely appeal to your intellect, emotions or common sense, like ordinary words. The Word of God is “Quick and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow (body), and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12).

The Word of God is Truth, and the Truth will set you free. Freedom from fear, despair, suffering, and anxiety is the greatest gift you can get. It fills you with hope, love and faith which transforms into real Power..

Jesus is also called the Word of God. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with of God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1) He came to give beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord. (Isaiah 61:3) Furthermore, to those who believe in Him He gives the power to become the sons of God. (John 1:12)

That amazing power is not just for us to read about in the Bible. That kind of supernatural power is available to each and every one of us, every moment of every day! God’s truth allows you to experience His grace and His power. So, instead of solving your problems by your own minute power, allow me to encourage you to reach out and tap into God’s Power. It’s available for each one of us, smart or not, rich or poor, happy or miserable – any time we call upon His name.

Overcoming Limiting Beliefs

It is not just new age hype, studies in the area of quantum physics are leading to a growing acceptance of the theory that we can control the outcome of events by concentrating on changing our thought patterns and focusing on our preferred result.

The thoughts we sow are as influential as our actions on the harvest we reap. A farmer sowing wheat in the Spring does not expect to harvest barley in the Autumn. So it is with our thoughts and actions.

If we believe it will be difficult to find new clients, we will be right! If we believe we will never be able to speak in public to promote our services, we will be right. Our belief systems are powerful and can often be limiting.

We need to shift our thinking about our Professional Practices to a model of abundance. Good clients are not hard to find – despite what we may currently “believe”. We do not have to compromise our personal values and standards in order to meet the needs of customers. As long as we believe we do, it will in fact become a self fulfilling prophecy.

My suggestion is that you list down your beliefs around your Professional Practice, as many as you can come up with, and analyse them. These beliefs are assessments of your practice – they belong to you not your practice. Can you ground these assessments? Ask yourself:

Is this true?

On what evidence am I assessing this to be true?

What kind of future is open to me if I continue to hold this assessment?

What other possibilities exist for me here?

It is only by becoming conscious of our belief systems that we can check to see if they are serving us well.
